What goes in a listing video script?
- The first look. Where the home is and the one thing that makes it worth watching, said in the first few seconds.
- The rooms that sell it. Two or three rooms, one or two sentences each: what is there and why it matters to the person living there.
- The area. One sentence about what is close by, if it helps the sale.
- The next step. How to book a viewing and where to find the details.
Keep every fact the same as in the listing: rooms, sizes and dates. A short example, from the free New listing tour template in Cue:
- First look: "Welcome to our newest listing. Here is the first look from the front door, so you get a real sense of the space."
- The rooms: "Two bedrooms, a bright living room with tall windows and a kitchen that was redone this year. Storage is everywhere you look."
- How to see it: "Viewings start this week. Send me a message to book a time, and I will send the full details."
The built-in way: the Camera app, room by room
The Camera app can pause while it records, so one video can follow you through the home. On supported models, Dual Capture records you and the room at the same time. Apple's steps: Apple Support, Record a video with your iPhone camera.
- Open Camera and tap Video. Use the back camera for the rooms, and tap .5x for a wider view if your iPhone has it.
- Tap the Record button at the front door and say the first part.
- Tap the Pause button, walk to the next room, then carry on recording.
- Tap the Record button to stop. The video is saved in Photos.
The limit: the script is not on screen, so you learn each part by heart, and a slip in one room means keeping it or starting again.
Read the script while you film each room, with Cue
- Tap Templates, choose Business and products, and pick New listing tour. It is free and already split into takes: First look, The rooms and How to see it. Tap Use template: it opens as a new script, so you can edit the lines for your property.
- Tap Open Teleprompter. To talk to the camera, keep the front camera. To show the room while you talk, tap Flip camera: the back camera films the room and the script stays on the screen in front of you.
- Open the Text size tool and tap Test read to set Speed and Size. Pick a size you can read at arm's length.
- With Cue Pro, the prompter stops at the end of each take. Walk to the next room, then record the next part. If one room goes wrong, tap that take in the strip above the record button and choose Retake.
- Tap Finish, put the takes in order, pick 9:16 for vertical social video or 16:9 for a website, and combine them into one video saved to Photos.
Without Cue Pro, read the whole tour in one take, in Full HD. On a stand or gimbal, open the Timer and remote tool and turn on Volume remote: a volume button or a Bluetooth shutter then starts and stops each take. On iPhones that support it, Cue Pro's Dual camera films you and the room at the same time, as picture in picture or split screen.

Questions
How long should a listing video be?
Long enough to show the rooms that sell the home and to say how to book a viewing. When you combine takes, Cue's length guide shows when the video goes over 30, 60 or 90 seconds, so you can see if a vertical cut runs long.
Can I read a script while filming with the back camera?
Yes. In Cue, tap Flip camera. The back camera films the room and the script stays on the screen in front of you.
Do I need a teleprompter rig?
No. The iPhone that films you also shows the script. If you use a beam-splitter rig, open the Mirror tool and turn on Script mirror so the text reads the right way round.
Is there a real estate video script template?
Yes. New listing tour is a free starter in Cue under Business and products, split into First look, The rooms and How to see it. Cue Pro adds Property tour, two minutes, Open house invite and Neighbourhood guide.
